3D Concrete Scanning

Warrabinya - GPR Scanning31_edited.jpg

3D Concrete Scanning provides high-resolution subsurface modelling for detailed structural assessment, design verification & complex investigation work. Using advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems, volumetric data is captured & processed to produce three-dimensional representations of reinforcement, post-tension (PT) ducts, conduits, slab thickness variations & other embedded features.

This method is used when a higher level of detail is required than standard 2D scanning can provide. 3D datasets support engineering analysis, clash detection, construction planning & verification of as-built conditions. The resulting models assist in identifying reinforcement congestion, PT tendon alignment, voiding, anomalies & structural irregularities that may influence design decisions or modification works.

3D scanning is particularly valuable in areas with complex reinforcement layouts, limited access or where precise spatial information is required to support structural engineering assessments. Data can be reviewed on-site or processed off-site depending on project requirements & the level of detail needed.
